I have worked in hospitality for fourteen years always in a 4 Star environment. During these years I have managed a wide range of restaurants from fine dining, 2 AA Rosette and 1 AA Rosette, to Brasseries and even a family orientated Italian Restaurant in the Scottish Highlands. One of the things that made these years so special was being able to work alongside great Chefs including Michelin-awarded Chef Jeremy Wares from whom I learned a lot.
I have a true passion for Wines and Spirits, always eager to learn more about styles, production methods, assessing the quality and history behind various drinks. Throughout the years I have attended wine master classes, wine and spirits fairs and visited various whisky and gin distilleries.
I hold the Level 3 Advance Certificate in Wines & Spirits from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust and I am currently working towards completing my Level 4 Diploma in Wines & Spirits. I am an accredited Whisky Ambassador and in March 2016 I made it to the Scottish regional final of the UK Sommelier of the Year.
My key strengths, which include adaptability, systematic approach and being a people’s person, have been instrumental in my success as a team leader and a mentor. I constantly strive to give the best possible care, drawing from my technical expertise and experience to ensure this.
It is the right time for me to start sharing this knowledge and experiences with your team members or clients. The increased staff knowledge and skills combined with excellent quality drinks will have a great and positive impact on your customers; adding value to their experience and overall satisfaction whilst staying with you.
